The Featured Author Contest begin on the 1st of each new month.
Each month the IAN member with the most visits (hits) to their IAN member page will be named The Featured Author Contest Winner!
The author and his/her books will be featured on the IAN home page for one month!

Guidelines and Rules
We started this contest as a way to attract book buying readers to the site. This is not a “vote in” or a popularity contest. We expect all those who participate to act responsibly and honorably. Our goal is to sell books and to increase exposure for all members.
Please advertise your IAN page by inviting all who see your post or tweet to stop by and check your page. ie “Check out my IAN author page at….” or “Visit me and the other talented authors at IAN….”
Please do not to ask your friends for "hits" to your IAN page. Please do not announce you are in a contest. This can cause enthusiastic, over-zealous friends to multi-click your page. Multi clicking can send several dozen or even several hundred hits to your page in a short time. Unfortunately this is not true traffic. This is cheating! This practice will NOT be tolerated. If we suspect multi-clicking or any other unfair practice you will be disqualified and your IAN member page will be deleted.
Platinum level members are not eligible for this contest as IAN admin promote their pages.
What can you do to increase traffic?
Our website hit count software can differentiate between self clicks, multi clicking and unique visitors! :)

What can you do to increase traffic?
- Tweet your IAN page everyday. Use #tags for your genres
- Link your IAN page to your Facebook page. (copy paste your IAN URL to your FB wall)
- Add links to your IAN page on your personal website and blog. (banners are available)
- Tweet other member authors and ask them to tweet your page.
