Tricia Gardella
Tricia Gardella is a hybrid picture book author, having traditionally published four picture books in the 90s, then taken a 20-year sabbatical, before discovering indie publishing in January 2022. Her passion is writing picture books and finding others who feel the same. Her goal is to figure out what works, what doesn’t, and why. She treasures each illustrator she works with knowing that without them there would be no book. She believes ‘lessons’ need to be not invisible but seamlessly woven into a text. Her goal is one book for, and dedicated to, each of her grandchildren. On the side, she is working on three series, the most fun about a Mouse who teleports to, and explores, different National Parks.

Absurd, Said Bird
Children's Picture Book
Mouse promises to bring back cheese for every farm animal to help him build the plane he thinks he needs to get to the moon. He ignores Bird who all the while warns Mouse that his plan is absurd. The fun comes when we discover the reason Bird calls the plan absurd in this short and to-the-point tale. |
Grandma's Kitchen
Frogs Go Diving
Children's Picture Book
In this upside-down bedtime story, frogs are headed home one early morning to get out of the sun and for their daily rest. But as is typical, the littlest of frogs is not quite ready and begs for delay. Frogs keep diving into the pond right past him while Little Frog pushes the boundaries, threatening danger to all. Children will love Little Frog’s adventure with the bonus that this story can be easily sung to the tune of the Ants Go Marching. |
