Tom Reinhart
Tom grew up a big comic book fan, an aspiring guitar player, and when it came to books without pictures, it was Robert E. Howard. The sword and sorcery fantasy fiction was definitely his favorite genre, and Mr. Howard’s ability to create dark and captivating worlds grabbed hold of him and never let go. His life story of living in a little Texas farmhouse tapping away on a 1930′s typewriter until succumbing to the urge to commit suicide was as intriguing as his books. So that is where much of Tom’s influence and desire to write came from.
Today Tom has wide tastes and enjoys all forms of reading and writing; he doesn’t limit himself to any one genre. He looks to modern writers like Hugh Howey and Tom Clancy for inspiration. Tom’s first published book, Saint Monolith, is the story of a S.W.A.T. Officer struggling with emotional issues, who becomes a vigilante of sorts; operating outside the rules that restrict him as a law enforcement officer. He struggles with sanity, as his psychologist struggles to save him from his demons. Eventually the two fall in love and partner together, but it may be too late as the consequences of his murderous vigilantism began to close in around him. Tom plans for it to be a trilogy, and he also has another work in progress, a Robert E. Howard inspired sword and sorcery fantasy due out later this year. It’s Tom’s hope that readers will enjoy them as much as he has enjoyed writing them. He intends to release both as graphic novels with some fantastic artwork as well. |

It's an exciting thriller and love story all in one, and a graphic depiction of the darker side of the human condition. |
