Author T. L. Parrington really caught my attention from the very beginning and I'll be honest and say that the author kept my attention so much that when the book was over I pouted just a little. This was such a fun and enjoyable read from the very beginning when the lovable hero Kirk goes off to run a simple errand for his pregnant wife, but ends up getting caught up into a crime in progress that isn't as simple an everyday average robbery. "Shakedown" is a great novel that keeps you laughing and guessing until the very end as Kirk Nolan does everything he can to save his wife from the new crime family in his small town and live through the day. I'm completely draw in by the author's dynamic writing and am looking forward to reading through her other novels to see if she captured the same awesome mix of action, drama and comedy that made this book so good!
