Susanna Shetley was born in Asheville, N.C. to two educators. Her love for books started at an early age when her mother, a public school librarian, made books a priority in the home. Throughout childhood and beyond, writing has fueled Susanna's life and career. Prior to writing full-time, Susanna taught middle school language arts. When not working on a book, Susanna writes for magazines and blogs, and produces a popular newspaper column for The Smoky Mountain News. Her most honored job is being mom to two young boys. Susanna lives in the mountains of North Carolina. Leisurely, she loves to cook, read, hike and travel the world, always on the lookout for a great story.
