Stephen Reid Andrews
If we are honest with ourselves, each of us will spend significant time in our lives deciding, finding, and discovering who we are and what our part in this grand orchestra called "life" may be. Some of us (like myself) may take longer than others to find or accept our part. Now, living in a gorgeous desert valley in the shadows of the red hills of Southern Utah, I have found my passion and what I hope is my part: writing.
Though my youth and young adulthood were scattered with creative works that evidenced my tendency to dream and tell stories, not until a few years ago did I discover I had a talent for communicating ideas and expressing myself through writing fictional stories. As a result, my mission statement has become to provide entertaining, thrilling, and thought-provoking literary works that encourage moral values and inspire positive action. The only other passion that exceeds my love of writing is my passion for my wife and children. Fortunately, I have found that, through my writing, I can communicate with them and express myself to them in ways the spoken word can't. Hopefully, in the process, I am able to communicate something worthwhile to you. |
The Triangle (The Visions of David Palmer, Book 1)
Young Adult Thriller
When David Palmer graduated from high school, married his high school sweetheart, and enrolled in the University of Chicago with enough college credit to be a junior, he was well on his way to live the rest of his life in normalcy. Settling down, having three children, and earning a middle-class household income were all the adventure David wanted. In the wrong place at the wrong time, David becomes captive to a tragedy that steals any hope that he will lead a normal or quiet life. A victim of the latest public massacre, David is left in a coma for ten months, only to wake and find that the shooting has taken more from him than he imagined possible while leaving him with an epileptic disability. With everything taken from him, David resigns himself to a life with no purpose. At least, that is how he planned to live until he finds that, in place of what he has lost, he has been given a new gift – an extraordinary gift that compels him to pursue justice against those who altered his life. The Triangle is the first book in The Visions of David Palmer series. |
Recoil (The Visions of David Palmer, Book 2)
Young Adult Thriller
Recoil is the second book in The Visions of David Palmer series, a multi-book series from Stephen Reid Andrews. Six months have passed since David, Maddy, and Ridley defeated and exposed the domestic terrorist organization known as the Triangle. With the occasional help of David’s brother, the league of friends have spent their time using the foreknowledge of David’s visions to anonymously go about serving the desperate and destitute. Whether helping victim or potential perpetrator, their objective and ultimate satisfaction comes from using their limited resources and abilities to make the world around them a better place. Unknown to the trio, David’s visions have routinely put the group at odds with some of the most powerful people in the world. Because they have disrupted evil too many times to be ignored, an organization much more dangerous and menacing than the Triangle is about to go hunting, and David Palmer is their target. Unfortunately, in the midst of the group’s struggles, when David’s visionary powers are needed most, David discovers that any help from his visions could also mean his death. |
Remnant of the Beast
Young Adult Fairy Tale
Beauty broke the spell by falling in love with the Beast, and they lived happily ever after. For Elise, her friends, her father, and every other citizen of Colmar, the story was a fairy tale created by the older generation to help little children sleep at night without fear. But, forty years after Belle and over sixty years after the curse, the legend becomes a haunting reality once again. Joined on one side by Marshall, who is possessively in love with her, and joined on the other side by her invalid friend Patric, who Elise feels she must protect, Elise never thought she would also befriend the prince and take her own place in the fairy tale. Unfortunately, the return of the Beast means more than finding beauty and love among ugliness and hate. The Beast has real-life consequences that result in misery, confusion, and suffering, and the return of the Beast means Elise must choose who and what she cares about most and must discover whether, like her predecessors, she can tame the Beast. |
