Midnight Assassin: A Tale of Lust and Revenge
Urban Fantasy
Terry Mastriano and his twin sister, Tempie, have become reluctant assassins, swearing a blood oath to avenge their father's assassination. The target? E. "Needles" Puzzoli, a man who went to prison but not for their father’s murder. For eight years, prison kept Needles safely out of the twins' reach, but now he's out and planning to leave town. If the twins want revenge, they must act now. Complicating matters is a mysterious and beautiful redhead who makes a prior claim on Needles. When Tempie attempts to kill Needles, the strange woman attacks, and warns both twins to stay away or die. Terry figures they're in a race with another assassin but he's only half-right. The dangerous woman is so much more than a fellow killer—she's a sensuous, deadly vampire with an undisclosed connection to both Needles and the twins. In an added complication, the vampire displays a lusty, predatory interest in Terry. An unexpected event forces Terry into a bargain with the vampire. Honor and vengeance demand satisfaction, and the twins are out for blood. No matter who gets to Needles first, a debt will be owed. Blood always wins. Just ask the vampire. |
The Book of Now
Poetry (Non-Fiction)
In her third volume of poetry, award-winning author Sherry Rentschler rips topics from current events: Terrorism, Politics, Domestic Abuse of women and children, Nature (both human and Mother). The subjects and events exposed from real lives are the focus of this honest, contemporary book of verses. Neither timid or sweet, these poems examine events as they have unfolded, and define them with bluntness, compassion, and her unique talent to expose and explain the unimaginable. This is nonfiction. The events are real, sometimes haunting and often controversial. Topics traverse bigotry, racism, sexism, misogyny, xenophobia and domestic violence, as well as ecological destruction, international slavery, and immigration. Rentschler suggests that with understanding there is a key to unlocking a better future. Readers will discover this key as they pass through the volume designed to replicate a terrible grimoire, a book succinctly defining the four elements of chaos destroying our world. A better future awaits and needs your help. Find the key. Enter Now. |
Breaking the Glass Slipper: a Fictional Memoir
Memoir
This is a true story. I am a baby boomer raised to believe that love always won, sex and love were interchangeable, and sharing both lead to the much desired happily ever after. In my childhood, every prince claimed a princess, every femme fatale got her man, and every sexual encounter promised love. I discovered how wrong I was before I left home and I went wild. Disillusioned, the next twenty-five years overflowed with misadventures, failed marriages, and sexual exploits. The lessons I learned were life-altering, filled with disappointments, often with painfully funny results. I cut my life’s teeth on the shards of my shattered glass slipper dreams. Until one day, my fairy godmother decided I’d suffered enough. My life became an honest-to-goodness love story complete with a real glass slipper. Happily ever after is possible. Take a lesson or two from me. |
