Sarah has been the official photographer for CDHR since 2014 and has been the VP of the Board of Directors since 2015. Sarah is honored to be part of this wonderful organization and is committed to CDHR's legacy, especially with this story of Spencer & Oliver, the Percheron "Dream Team."
Journey of the Dream Team
Photojournalism
Rescued on Independence Day by the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue (CDHR), Spencer & Oliver are the two Percheron geldings who have an amazing story to share. They exemplify CDHR’s mission of being dedicated to saving the lives of draft horses that were victims of starvation and neglect. Once nourished, they flourished and became draft horse ambassadors for the organization. Written from their perspective, you will see their journey from rescue, to rehabilitation, to retraining, as well as to becoming superstars for CDHR. You will find themes of love, connecting, friendship, beauty, appreciation, grief, and loss. From horses to humans alike, I wanted to share their incredible connection out of love and respect for them and CDHR with my story and photography. I am honored to be part of this wonderful organization and am committed to CDHR’s legacy, especially with this story of Spencer & Oliver, the Percheron "Dream Team." |
