The most amazing fact about this novel is that the family photo (of my sons and I), pictured on the front cover of this book, inspired this, my tenth novel. The Bayou Banditos are fictional characters molded in the likeness of me and my sons. The names of the characters are my sons’ actual nicknames. Those who know them will not be surprised by their fictional counterparts’ personalities and demeanors. The names of the characters were changed to protect other members of the family who might be slightly embarrassed. The family of the Bayou Banditos has all mutually agreed that the Bayou Banditos have spent too much time in the hot, humid swamps of Louisiana.
