Mike is a writer and self-employed geologist and surveyor, living with his wife in a rural setting near Clearwater, Kansas. The characters in the series reside in or near Durango, Colorado, one of his favorite destinations.
Mike has just published the third novel in the Jack Trader Adventure series. He is also writing about a fact-based western tragedy that takes place in 1906, also in Durango. With a little luck and a lot of effort, he would like to make writing a full-time endeavor.

The location of Noah’s Ark has been one of history’s most intriguing mysteries. Believed to be on Mt. Ararat, it continues to elude all seekers. The year is 1952 and a well worn amulet has been discovered in a collection at the Denver Museum of Natural History, indicating the true location of the Ark. Jack, a geologist/archaeologist and avid Ark enthusiast, is made aware of the discovery and wastes no time in preparing for an immediate departure to Turkey. Joseph Stalin, a vengeful former seminary student, also learns about the discovery, vowing to destroy the Ark. Major Anna Petrova volunteers for the mission to Colorado with orders to retrieve the amulet at all cost. The Nestorian Brotherhood has been protecting Noah’s Ark for centuries in a location known only to them and they will do anything to keep it safe and hidden. They are well prepared. The man in black is their first defense and possibly their last.

He joins forces with Ranger Samantha Baker to stop the threat before it's too late. As a last resort, the Anasazi will take matters into their own hands. They are the 'coyote people,' able to transform with deadly consequences.

Jack and Rudy are back in their most dangerous adventure to date. A friend’s life is in jeopardy. She has overheard an incriminating conversation between her boss, the mayor, and a Las Vegas “businessman.” A gambling casino and hotel are in the works for Durango. If what she heard gets out, it could destroy their plans. It’s decided that she is a problem and must be eliminated. Jack and Rudy help her escape to a place they know very well, the mountainous wilderness area north of town. The enforcers are out of their element and Jack and Rudy have the upper hand, or so they think.
