I am primarily a middle grade fantasy fiction author because, let’s face it, it’s the most fun and freeing genre there is. I am addicted to the joy of making up magical stories. But my craving to spin a yarn didn’t begin with fiction writing. My first step into the storytelling process was through my work as an actor and comedian. I loved performing improv comedy, and acting in plays, and earning my B.F.A in Theatre Arts from Boston University. But fantasy fiction is where my heart lies, and I strive to create dreams with my words that can live alongside the classics like Peter Pan, Wind in the Willows, A Midsummer Night's Dream and all the works of Hayao Miyazaki. My hope for my readers is that they have fun and feel inspired to let their own imaginations flow in amusing and whimsical ways.
