Xenu's Lotto Part One: The Grand Game

Picture
Science Fiction/Humor

Xenu's Lotto is a satirical SCIFI tale in the vein of Hitchhiker’s Guide and Ice Pirates. Aliens land in Iowa next to a Walmart. Ernie, the unhappily divorced store greeter on duty, takes it upon himself to greet the spacemen. They happen to be slick talking insurance salesmen from the Milky Way Galactic Hub. Ernie buys a policy meant to save the Earth from destruction. Instead, by signing the policy Ernie has placed the Earth in Xenu’s Lotto, a weekly lotto game taking place in the center of the Milky Way in which populated planets are used for lotto balls and the super massive black hole at its center acts as the ball puller. Ernie, along with a ragtag team that includes his ex-wife, her other ex-husband, his defective and delusion robot, and a couple large clawed rather dim aliens, must find a way to save Earth by next week or else. They must travel to the center of the galaxy and rig Xenu’s Lotto. As well as being a hilarious SCIFI farce, Xenu’s Lotto contains an unexpectedly touching and quirky love story as Ernie tries to win back his ex-wife, Lorelei. They face disaster at every turn as everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Days tick by. Earth creeps closer and closer to the lip of the black hole.
