Born in Fall River, MA, Margaret Bennett has lived most of her life in Norfolk, VA. Professionally, she has a diversified background. She earned a Master of Education from the University of Virginia and certification with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Adolescents and Young Adulthood / English Language Arts. She taught middle and senior high school students for over twenty years, with nine years in alternative education for at-risk students.
As an avid reader, she became a fan of Georgette Heyer's Regency novels, then started writing Regency romance novels as a hobby. She particularly loves to write about feisty heroines in an age that identified women by their husbands' accomplishments.
