Born in Fall River, MA, Margaret Bennett has lived most of her life in Norfolk, VA. Professionally, she has a diversified background. She earned a Master of Education from the University of Virginia and certification with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Adolescents and Young Adulthood / English Language Arts. She taught middle and senior high school students for over twenty years, with nine years in alternative education for at-risk students.
As an avid reader, she became a fan of Georgette Heyer's Regency novels, then started writing Regency romance novels as a hobby. She particularly loves to write about feisty heroines in an age that identified women by their husbands' accomplishments. Currently, she lives with her husband in beautiful Port Royal, SC, where she enjoys walks with their dog Sally and is busy plotting her next novel. |
