Lisa Fougère
Lisa Fougère was born in upstate New York at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. From there, she ventured north to Montreal, Canada to attend McGill University as a language major, and was lucky enough to travel to Japan, Korea, France, Spain, Italy and Greece before meeting her husband in Boston, and settling into life in the US with three outstanding kids and a 90-lb. Labrador Retriever. She currently lives with her family in a suburb just outside the fabulous city of Chicago, and misses hills and mountains desperately.
Lisa has always had an intense curiosity for the world. She believes there is magic around us we don't yet fully understand, and infuses this wonder into her writing. It's the human stories that interest her the most. And through travel, and seeking out different people and adventures, Lisa finds fascination in the myriad ways we experience our humanity.
The Healer is her first novel.
