Linda (Holloway) Wichman is a hopeful romantic and teller of tall-tales that are influenced by her Celtic heritage, history, legends and love for sci-fi fantasy. Her debut novel the Legend of the Emerald Rose through Kregel Publications was honored with an American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year Award, Christy Finalist, Romance Writers of America WA-FHL Finalist, Golden Heart Finalist, Reader's Choice Nominee and the Romantic Times Top Pick.
Linda’s passion for historical research inspired her tagline, ‘Legend begins where truth ends . . . or is it the other way around?’ Not to get lost in the fray Linda’s pen-partner, Cj Daniels, has yet to make his/her debut because they are hatching Steampunk plots. A misplaced Celt in Wisconsin, Linda rarely takes herself seriously and neither do her husband, married children, rambunctious grandsons and two felines. Linda happily resides with her husband at Maple Tor Manor penning the Emerald Rose saga, YA Steampunk, and romances while sipping Chai Tea Lattes and devouring freshly baked scones. It is 1192, the Crusades—Guardian of the Emerald Rose, Tamar Rose fitz Alan (Stewart) possesses telepathy and the gift of prophecy. When the Sultan Saladin demands the Emerald Rose talisman for her cousins lives, feisty Tamar concedes on the condition that she accompanies the talisman to King Richard’s camp in Acre, and causes her guardian angel, Tomas, to ponder if he’s the right angel for the job.
