Linda Carter has a 40 year history as a Christian, being born again in the Vineyard Church of southern California in 1982. She has spent time serving in women's prison ministry, women's addiction recovery, women's mentorship programs and childrens' ministry. She is a mother of 1 and a grandmother of 6. She is semi-retired, residing in Northern California with her husband in the small mountain community of Oak Run.
