Linda Lamberson
Linda Lamberson’s debut book, Borrowed Heart: Book One of the Evie Sanders Series, was named a finalist in the romance category by the NIEA – The National Indie Excellence Book Awards. Since then, she has published the second book in the series, “Peace of Mind.” And the last book in the series, “Soul to Shepherd: Book Three of the Evie Sanders Series,” will be released in January 2014.
Lamberson is a Chicago-area native, an author, and a devoted mother and wife. After studying at Indiana University in Bloomington, she attended graduate school at The University of Chicago, where she received her Master’s degree in Social Service Administration, followed by her Juris Doctor degree. She then worked at a large law firm in Chicago. In 2009, inspiration guided Lamberson to begin writing when a conversation with a neighboring passenger on a plane reminded Lamberson of a near-fatal car accident she'd been in while a freshman in college. It led her to ask—What if? ... What if she hadn't survived the accident? What if that had been the end of her story? What if it didn't have to be? Evie Sanders was born out of that basic premise and so was her story. Lamberson explores the question of whether love can thrive in the wake of tragedy as the main character fights to find a way to be with her true soul mate while coming to terms with her own unpredictable journey between life, death, and immortality. |

Young Adult/New Adult Paranormal Romance
Linda Lamberson’s debut book, Borrowed Heart: Book One of the Evie Sanders Series, was named a finalist in the romance category by the NIEA – The National Indie Excellence Book Awards. Evie Sanders is pretty good at heeding that gnawing feeling she gets when trouble rears its head—or at least she used to be. Things change when she meets Quinn Harrison one morning after class. Evie would never do anything intentionally to hurt her long-distance boyfriend or jeopardize their relationship, but she finds it increasingly difficult to resist Quinn. Just when things can’t seem to get any more complicated, Evie is involved in a fatal car accident. Yet, her death marks a new beginning—and her new existence as an immortal. It’s not long before Evie and Quinn’s paths cross again, and she finds herself trying to walk a fine line between bending the rules she must now obey and breaking them. Peace of Mind: Book Two of the Evie Sanders Series
Young Adult/New Adult Paranormal Romance
In "Borrowed Heart," Evie Sanders’s world was turned upside down after she met Quinn Harrison her freshman year at Indiana University. Her connection with him was more intense than anything she’d ever felt, and it seemed like nothing could come between them—that was until a tragic accident claimed Evie’s life. But even death couldn’t keep these true soul mates apart for long. Quinn and Evie were reunited when she became a Shepherd, an immortal guardian whose job it was to protect Quinn from the same demons responsible for her demise. Nonetheless, Shepherds had rules—they weren’t allowed to get involved with their charges. Evie tried to ignore her love for Quinn, but their bond was too strong to deny. She broke the rules to be with him, and she got caught. The next chapter of Evie’s future now unfolds in Peace of Mind, in which she must face the consequences of her transgressions. The only way Evie can remain Quinn’s Shepherd is by breaking the one promise she’d made him. To continue to protect his life, she can’t be part of it—Quinn can’t ever know that she’s near. Unwilling to accept this cruel twist of fate, Evie is intent on fixing her mess. But to have any chance of being with Quinn again, she has to find a way to reach him before it’s too late … before her assignment is over and she has to say goodbye to him forever. Soul to Shepherd: Book Three of the Evie Sanders Series
Young Adult/New Adult Paranormal Romance
Book release date: January 2014 My name is Eve Olivia Sanders—or at least it was. At eighteen, I died and became a Shepherd, an immortal guardian whose mission it was to safeguard humans from the Servants, the same demons that took my life. I was sent back to Earth to protect Quinn Harrison, who I soon discovered was my “true soul mate.” Our undeniable love for each other had survived death, amnesia, brutal attacks … and most recently, separation. But the worst of it was still to come. The Servants no longer wanted to just kill Quinn. They wanted to destroy his soul and convert him into one of their own—a demon. And I was being sent back again to save Quinn from a fate worse than death. That said, I also had to protect myself. The Servants wanted me out of their way—permanently. As true soul mates, Quinn and I supposedly shared a bond powerful enough to give us the strength and the will to stop these demons from waging a war to take over and rule the Realms, and they weren’t going to let anyone interfere with their plans without a fight. Quinn and I were about to find out just how much we could count on one another, knowing that if either of us failed, we’d lose each other forever. Save Quinn. Save myself. Save the world.
