I am a poet and writer from the North East of England. I have self-published two poetry collections. ‘My Father’s Daughter’ and 'A Taste of What’s to Come'.
I have had poetry, short stories and creative non-fiction published in anthologies and online. Most recently I was published in Makarelle.
I am studying for an open degree with the Open University. I am currently taking a year out but as I am an eternal student, I am taking a number of short courses during the year.
I love reading. My writing friends have got me back reading poetry books and expanding my fiction horizons. My TBR is the height of a house but I will get through it.
I love chocolate, mugs, American TV and listening to music. I can often be found hanging out on social media or on Zoom. You could say I have communication addiction!
I have plans for more books in the future.
My Father's Daughter
"An excerpt from Autopsy, by Lily Lawson -
If, as time moves on,
the words that I have shared
remain with you,and call you back
to read them once again
my work is done."
My Father’s Daughter, a collection of poems ranging from lighthearted to heart-rending, captures Lily Lawson’s thoughtful observations about life and love.
