Judi Coltman
Raised in an affluent suburb of Detroit, Judi Coltman grew up in a female heavy household with an urban sense of "normal." Coltman attended Michigan State University, majoring in Journalism until a professor requested she switch majors - "Apparently making a story better with added features isn't acceptable in the news world," Coltman laments.
With a BA in English from Northern Illinois University, Coltman has written for local, regional and national publications. Most recently, Coltman has been writing a weekly blog called, "My Life in a Nutshell," from where her book material was born. Coltman lives in northern Illinois and is working on her second book.

Mystery
Time doesn't quell a killer's instinct and there is no place to find solace. . . not even in His house.
Liz’s best friend rode off on the back of a motorcycle when she was 16 years old. Her body parts washed up on the shores of a Virginia beach community days later, prompting Liz’s parents to sequester her away to Richmond, far away from the vicious murder. Now on her own, Liz returns to take back that part of her life and make peace with the events of her 16th summer.
John Williams’ heart broke when, after being questioned in the grisly murder, Liz’s parents spirited her away for good, leaving him grieving for his forsaken love. With the guidance of his father, the community preacher, John moves on with a clear understanding of his life’s mission.
When another body turns up, savagely hacked-up on the side of the road, safety becomes elusive, even in the small community church where the answers are hidden. Liz and John have to face the truth that the killer is still out there. Watching. Waiting for them.

Is It Just Me? or Is Everyone a Little Nuts!
Is It Just Me? or Is Everyone a Little Nuts is a funny, sometimes ironic book that offers a laugh out loud look at parenting, marriage, aging and small town living from an suburban point of view.
Written in short chapters, Coltman retells everyday life events, conversations and stories infused with her skewed sense of humor. These small snippets of life are moments in which anyone can identify and laugh at themselves as well. Middle age can be boring, but Coltman allows the naughty into her life from time to time, like her adult Scout Troop, "Cougar Scouts" Troop 69, or conversations between her middle aged self and her seventeen year old self that will leave you rolling ( and remembering!). A great quick read!

Thriller
A killer lurked the Woodward Avenue corridor of Oakland County, Michigan in 1976-77. His prey; children. For a year, he stalked, abducted and murdered young boys and girls, laying their bodies out in public to be easily found. The killing stopped abruptly in 1977, but the killer was never found. This is the story of what could have happened.
Newly divorced and ready to relaunch herself, Sydney Powell and her retired K9 move back to the city in which she grew up to write a book about the infamous underworld faction known as The Purple Gang. Having once lived in a house built and used by the Purple Gang to run liquor, Sydney takes the opportunity to rent the place, believing it will help her write the book.
Met with opposition from her psychotic mother and her long brooding brother, Jack, who believe the real story of the house is about ghosts, she begins to dig into the history. Her research yields very little about her intended subject instead pointing to an entirely different history tied to the death of young boy.
Peeling away the layers of legal paper, Sydney and Jack become acutely aware that the house hides secrets linked to not only the gruesome murder that rocked the state, but deeper, more disturbing events. The secrets, held hostage in the walls.
