Jonathan Oldershaw
Jonathan Oldershaw left a world of suits and shiny shoes to become a full time writer. He has written plays, short stories, poems and even a pantomime, and tries to be funny at least three times a week (four times if nobody is looking).
His own children provide a third of his inspiration, another third comes from somewhere within, and the final third comes from the silly things going on all around us all of the time. Jonathan Oldershaw lives in Silverstone, UK, with his wife, two children and a cat called Coco. Eric Wishbone and the Frozen Earth is his first published book for children (2013) and is part of a series of 'Eric Wishbone' stories for children. His next book in the series is Eric Wishbone and the Catastrophic Consequences and will be available in 2014. |
Eric Wishbone and the Frozen Earth
Children's
A lighthearted children's story for 8-12 year olds about a diabolical Head Teacher gaining power over Earth using mind-controlling ice cream, a boy called Eric Wishbone who has to save the world from freezing over, a Solar Bear from the other side of the sun and a toothless dog named Dracula. Eric Wishbone's Head Teacher, Miss Isle, has gone completely crazy! She wants to take over the world with mind-controlling ice cream, and has a diabolical plan to get the ice she needs by blowing up the sun! No-one seems to care but why would they when they can eat as much sports-car-rocket-launch-cloud-drifter-with-a-hint-of-toffee ice cream as they could ever imagine? Eric, his two best friends Freddie Neptune and Bobby Spoon, his dog called Dracula, and a Solar Bear from outer space, are the only ones who can possibly save the world from freezing over…forever! Any similarity between Miss Isle and Head Teachers anywhere is entirely coincidental - honest! Sample Eric Wishbone and the Frozen Earth |
