I was born on the Wirral and now live in Solihull, UK. In 2009, I married my wife Kate and we have two children called Holly and Joey. My job is as a primary school teacher and I have taught across all years, teaching children from aged four to eleven.
I have always enjoyed reading and my favourite authors are Mark Billingham, Mo Hayder and Mark Sennen. The detectives they write about (Tom Thorne, Jack Caffery and Charlotte Savage) in these books have their own style and sometimes push the boundaries of what is expected by their superiors. They have all been a huge inspiration to my detective, Eddie Firth.
Unseated is my first crime fiction book and the idea developed after watching Law Abiding Citizen at the cinema. I liked the idea of the vigilante who feels wronged and as a result takes the law into his own hands.
