John Burns
John is a multi-award winning author of screenplays. He says, while it's great to receive recognition from the industry, he'd like to share his tall tales with others outside of Hollywood. He came up with the brilliant idea of adapting his most popular scripts to the novel form; subsequently he published, The Glass Alibi to the hungry fans of Urban Private Eye, Noir-Crime/Suspense/Thrillers around the world.
John's first attempt, turning the 89 page script into a 400 page novel, was no easy trick but the results were gratifying. John studied creative writing while enrolled at U.C. San Francisco, with Professor Richard Walters (UCLA) and Shane Black (Predator and Iron Man 3). John is married to his amazing wife Carol. He splits his time between his home in the Historic, North Beach District of San Francisco and his home in the beautiful desert oasis of Palm Springs, California. |

Nick Sloan had been a Private Eye for 20 years but his office had never seen beauty like Elizabeth Burnett. He wanted to believe every word she said; her cuts and bruises were as real as her $10,000 dollar retainer. That was a lot of cabbage back in 1980. The more he listened to her tale of woe and misery the more, he realized that all the cards weren't on the table. Before the day was out two people on Elizabeth's list were already were missing. The more he investigated the more he realized, he was in an alibi and the only way to not take the fall was to solve the crime. |
