Traditionally, the biography of an author would contain all of the awards won and the classes taken and speak to their degree in some sort of writing program. Since I have none of that, I will tell you about what I have done.
I have a degree in biotechnology from the University of Newcastle (Australia). I was always very interested in math and the sciences in school and I chose to continue it through college. I currently work as a chemist at a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory, running analyses on finished products. I always love a challenge and continuously try to increase my efficiency and output. I was named the youngest senior chemist in the company in 2011. Even though I am generally a right-brained person, writing is something I like to do in order to tap into my creative side. I have tried other things (painting, music, etc.), but I didn’t feel as connected to those activities as I have with my writing. After a couple of years of working on it little by little after work, I was ecstatic when I finished my first novel.

As Emperor of the Nereidians on the planet Ondine, Calder realized that his environment was overpopulated and overgrown. He decided that he must set up a new colony on another planet in order to keep his own planet pristine. Calder gathered some of his most trusted and intelligent Nereidians to send to Earth on a research mission. He asked the group to gather samples in order to figure out what is there and how they could clean up the pollution. First, the visitors to Earth would have to learn how to fit into their new surroundings. Some found it easy to fall into place on Earth; they would go out to restaurants, meet people and even fall in love. Others found it very difficult to deal with Earth issues that are non-existent on their home planet. Consumed with the power of money, Devereux forgot about his Ondinian roots and forsook the group. Away from the protection and support of Emperor Calder, Devereux had no interest in finding a job. He decided to go into a life of crime. On one of his brief stints in jail, Devereux met another tortured soul (a human named Jake) and began hatching plans with his partner in crime. He targeted his own Nereidians for several schemes, including kidnapping for ransom, robbery, and arson. Despite their experiences being very different from one another, the Nereidians learn that their only way to survive on Earth is to stay true to themselves and follow their hearts.

She arrives in the big city as naïve as ever, but soon realizes that she must learn to believe in herself if she will ever be able to get by. Finding support in unexpected places, Myra surprises herself with the success that follows. She finds a job that puts a roof over her head and food in her stomach. Her social life also far surpasses her wildest dreams. She meets a man she had once idolized: her favorite musician, Eric. To her surprise, Eric continues to express interest in spending time with her, despite having a model for a girlfriend. In the whirlwind of the city drama, Myra finds herself longing for home and the simpler life. The result however, is far from simple. She wonders if it wasn't a huge mistake and misses her city friendships. Myra eventually finds that she can have the best of both worlds.
