Heather A. Buchman

Picture
I write because I love it. My books are filled with things that bring me joy: music, wine, art, skiing, kids and cowboys. Not always in that order. Pretty simple really.

I’ve always been a creative. My husband and I have owned a marketing firm for many years, where I am a copywriter and designer; I’ve edited and designed two hundred books for a small press publisher; and in my spare time, I became certified as an executive sommelier.

I’m an east coast girl, who spent half her life on the west coast. But now my husband, our two boys and I happily call Colorado home.

And Then You Fall

Contemporary Romance

And Then You Fall tells the story of lives lived backwards; where dreams thought lost are reborn and the fear of the unknown in loving relationships, conquered. Buchman, in her fun loving and adventurous style, develops characters who once thought themselves undeserving of happiness in love and life, who then grow to understand that taking chances in relationships is a risk worth taking.

And Then You Dance

Picture
Contemporary Romance

Wherever he was, Billy owned the air. It belonged to him, and he took it.

The second book in the Crested Butte Series, And Then You Dance follows the lives of cowboy Billy Patterson and girl next door, Renie Fairchild.

Last year, Billy Patterson was national saddle bronc champion, this year, nothing in his life seems to be working, including competing on the rodeo circuit. When Liv Fairchild marries Ben Rice, and offers to sell Billy her ranch, he quickly takes her up on it. The part he hadn’t bargained on, was keeping the boarding stables open. Liv insists, and Billy is forced to take on a responsibility he hadn’t planned to. But, that means Renie’s horse will stay on the ranch, and if her horse stays, maybe he can talk her into staying too.

Renie has been in love with Billy all her life. No one knows it though, especially not Billy. She’s his sidekick, and his best friend. But she’s not a little girl anymore. She’s a woman. How long can she bear to be around him, when he’ll never see her that way—or love her the way she loves him?

Billy’s world is turned upside down when he discovers he has a baby girl, with no one to raise her but him. Will this bring Billy and Renie closer together? Or, will it drive Renie into the arms of another man?

After meeting her at a Colorado dude ranch over the summer, Jace Rice wants nothing more than to be the man who makes Renie forget Billy Patterson ever existed.

Who will Renie choose, the man who’s held her heart forever, or the man who wants to steal it for himself?
