I am a 29 year old New Zealander, living in the beautiful Manawatu.
I started writing as a child (mostly poetry, songs and short stories) but once I grew up, writing took a back-seat to life, where working and paying the bills became more important. I am an avid reader, so books kept me company over the interim years. I started writing again in 2011. I had toyed with the idea, over several years, of writing an urban-fantasy style novel, where the hero/heroine suddenly finds themselves yanked out of the ordinary world and immersed in a world with amazing and magical creatures, and the responsibility to solve a problem or prevent a crisis (the likes of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland etc). After many months of writing, "Extraordinary" came into being. After many more months of editing, sleepless nights and many, many re-reads and some re-writes, I have now self-published "Extraordinary Part 1". I have since planned out a series of books (named "The Star Kin Chronicles") to continue the story, all of which I'm currently working on with the intent of self-publishing them. |
