Dennis Foote
Dennis Foote was born in Michigan and lived the first 20 years there. At 20 years old he struck out on his own by joining the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he attended night school at Florida Southern College extention campus at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida. After spending 4 years in the Navy, he enrolled in graduate school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where he obtained his doctorate degree.
Dennis then took a commission in the United States Army receiving the rank of Captain, being stationed in Texas. This is when he became interested in the history of east Texas, which is well represented in The Ransomed Soul. After his active duty stint in the Army, he operated his own foot clinic in Bay Village, Ohio, for 18 years, in which time he and his wife raised their two children. He is now living in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he enjoys his family and writing. He has spent the last 12 years in self-directed studies of American history, which is the overall inspiration for his first novel. |
The Ransomed Soul
Historical Fiction
An historically accurate journey through the lives of three men. Where Lively characters join in hair brained escapades, share their fair share of blunders and experience such poignant moments. A story that moves quickly along while leaving the reader wanting for more. Dr. Foote has created a tale where with each and every turn the past creates a future in which these troubled - or rather - ransomed souls - exist. |
