Storm Brewing (Book Three: The Rocket Series)
Plants, Potions & Oils For Horses
Guide
This is a revised edition of Plants, Potions, and Oils for Horses. It contains much more information, including a section on behaviour, a lot more oils and a few more herbs. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. This edition also (aside from the line drawings) has colour plates to help you to accurately identify the plants. We live in an age of medical miracles and yet nature has found a way to bring us firmly back to Earth. Whilst modern medicines are a boon to us all and we must embrace them, many veterinarian and medical practitioners find themselves in the unenviable position that the problems they strive to address are becoming more resistant to proprietary drugs. Perhaps it is nature’s way of reminding us that we are not invincible that our intelligence can have limitations and that what we have all around us should be utilised alongside modern technology. That is not to say that one should not consult your vet, just that there are many things available to us if we only take the trouble to learn their usage can be of great benefit. This book attempts to give some traditional methods (note I use the term traditional as that is exactly what it is it is not alternative it was there many years before modern medicine) in which to aid your horse. It also covers some old fashioned remedies that may surprise you and should not be forgotten and so have been placed in this book to save them from being lost in the mists of time. As Einstein once said the simplest answer is often the most accurate. And in truth, whether we be, veterinarian, traditionalist, competitor, professional or we just have a horse or pony to ride out for pleasure we all want the same thing… whatever is best for our horse’s wellbeing. May your days be joyous and your saddles soft. |
The Beginning (Book One: The Sapphire Staff)
Fantasy
Can one boy hold the fate of the world in his hands? Can a chance meeting change his life? Marvin is just a boy trying to survive in a devastated world. But Marvin is no ordinary 16 year old, as he is soon to discover. His “chance” meeting takes him on a journey to find the Sapphire Staff and to discover that, myth and legends are far more than just old tales told by the fireside. Creatures of myth and magic hidden for centuries in the shadows must step into the light and stand side by side with mankind to face the evil that threatens to destroy all that is good. He finds himself on a journey of discovery not only of past legend but of himself. For every beginning there must be an end but for every end there must be another beginning. |
Something Completely Weird: Poems, Proverbs and Stuff
Poetry
Something Completely Weird. It depends on your perspective! Weird because it is not just the run of the mill poetry book (though it has a lot of poems), weird because it might make you see something that you didn’t see before, sad poems, thought provoking poems, funny poems… that’s weird, a little hopefully inspiring wordage… not so weird and yet still weird… As for the author leave that one up to you. |
Something Completely Odd: Poems & Ramblings
Something Completely Different: Poems, Proverbs & Rhymes
Poetry
This is a small book of poems, rhyme and riddles, proverbs and even a short story. It will make you laugh and maybe even cry, it will make you think and you will find yourself quoting the proverbs. Interesting, compelling. dark, light sad and joyous… Something Completely Different! Watch this space. Much to my surprise and obvious delight this book has also been given a five star review from Readers Favourite. |
Something Completely Crazy: More Poems & Ramblings
Poetry
Sometimes we miss the obvious ignoring all that is around us, this book of poems, rhyme and ramblings will not only make you think but will open your eyes to the many things we miss. An enjoyable read whether you are sitting by the fire, in an airport, waiting for a train or sitting in the loo! |
Something Completely Insane: Even More Poems & Ramblings
Poetry
This particular effort of mine has caused some controversy I have to say. The cover as you will have read on the back was produced for a reason… I wanted you to be shocked. My publisher didn’t want this cover and was dead set against it but I have persevered. She is a wonder and has allowed my little idiosyncrasy. Sometimes the truth is hard to face, it is sickening but it is still there if we hide it in a cupboard, it doesn’t go away, it isn’t faced. I believe that we must become aware of what is happening and sometimes the only way to do this is to push something under others noses. Not to force an opinion or demand but the cover has a visual image that is the truth and I sincerely hope it gives you concern for the things we are allowing to happen. You will find the normal poems and ramblings as in my other books but there is a little more controversy in this effort. Insane? maybe but there are many things out there that can be given no other description than insane. War, terrorism, poaching, riots, making weapons of mass destruction for defence (and yes, I understand the reason we must have these weapons) all of this is still insane however. I do hope you enjoy this work but more than that I hope you see the insanity behind some of the things that are happening throughout the world and stand up and voice your opinion. |
