Leigh Cole Jr.

Picture
Born in Metairie, Louisiana, but raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Mr. Cole discovered his passion for writing after his youngest son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). His older son's inquisitive nature sparked the idea for Jonah's Spectacular Sounds, Mr. Cole's debut children's book.

Through this heartwarming story, Mr. Cole hopes to provide a window into the world of ASD for young readers, enabling them to better understand and empathize with peers on the autism spectrum. His goal is to foster acceptance, inclusion, and celebrate the unique perspectives that those with ASD bring to our world.

When not writing, Mr. Cole enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons in their hometown in the DFW metroplex. The Coles take pride in being active members of their local community and ardent supporters of autism awareness initiatives.

Picture
Children's Illustrated

Jonah is one-of-a-kind - literally! This lively young lad has a unique talent that's music to his ears, but not so much for the other kids at school. See, Jonah can make all sorts of wacky, wild sounds with his mouth. From rip-roaring roars to thunderous tunes, this little guy's got pipes!

The only problem is, the other students find Jonah's noises a bit too much to handle. They think he's strange and won't give him a chance. With the help of their understanding teacher, the class learns to embrace Jonah's extraordinary abilities. Soon, the once-isolated boy is the life of the party, entertaining his newfound friends with his spectacular sounds!

This heartwarming story shows that being different is what makes us special. With a little patience and open-mindedness, Jonah's classmates discover that his one-of-a-kind talents are something to celebrate - not shun. So get ready for a delightfully noisy adventure that's sure to have you giggling from start to finish!
