Stewart F. Brennan has spent most of his life as a lean manufacturing specialist with a background in electrical engineering. As a lifelong critical thinker and analyst, he has always loved to study anything he could get his hands on, ranging from ancient history to current geo-politics and geo-economics. In the past, he’s published three volumes of poetry, prose, and political commentary in his series, The Activist Poet. The Shard of Asclepius is science fiction, supernatural thriller that delves into secret societies, Hermeticism, ancient history and an unearthed artifact of highly advanced technology that could change our perceptions of history and the world around us forever. --------------------------- A soul‑searching Montrealer named David Collins follows his intuition and uncovers a highly advanced piece of ancient technology. As David continues to follow his intuition, he finds allies within the Order of Hermes, a secret organization dedicated to uncovering lost knowledge. Yet the Order of Hermes must also keep those secrets safe from a powerful group called the Collective, who would use such technology to consume the world in their greed. With the help of his allies, David begins to unlock the shard’s mysterious powers, but in doing so, draws the eye and ire of the Collective. So begins a deadly chase across Quebec and New York State with the Collective’s ruthless shadows constantly at David’s heels.
