Steve R. Hartwig is an author of Christian fiction whose stories blend faith, adventure, history, and the richness of life in Central America. An American who has made Nicaragua his home for more than a decade, Steve draws inspiration from the people, landscapes, and experiences that surround him.
His newest work, Mateo and the Secrets of the Eternal Word, is a Christian middle-grade adventure series that brings Bible history to life through the eyes of a twelve-year-old Nicaraguan boy. When Mateo encounters the mysterious Verbum Aeternum, he becomes an eyewitness to the people and events of Scripture, experiencing biblical history in ways he never imagined. Steve is also the author of Ride the Fire, a story of courage, friendship, and perseverance set against the dramatic landscapes of Nicaragua. His books are available in both English and Spanish, reflecting his desire to reach readers across cultures and languages.
