Picture
Children's Picture Book

What happens when a shy child discovers that a sparkling patch of water can become her newest friend? Polly’s Sparkling Water Friend is a whimsical tale that connects children to nature and the water cycle.

While standing on the river’s edge behind her home, a young child meets a shimmering patch of water that rises from the river in the shape of a wave. This shape-shifting water friend teaches her about the water cycle and shows what it’s like to have a friend who is continuously changing. But can Polly recognize her friend through every transformation?

Written for ages 3-8, and beautifully illustrated in watercolors, Polly’s Sparkling Water Friend is designed to be both delightful and educational. It combines STEM education and social-emotional learning by blending science, magic, and friendship.

Read along and experience the wonder of nature, the magic of friendship, and the beauty of water’s continuous transformation!
