Michael Belliotti

Picture
I’m Michael Belliotti, a children’s author who writes stories rooted in resilience, empathy, and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and understood.

Living with chronic pain has taught me how to speak about compassion from a place of truth. Understanding differences, honoring each person’s journey, and showing kindness are not abstract ideas to me—they are lessons I’ve lived, and they shape every story I write. My books celebrate bravery, self-belief, and the beauty of being uniquely yourself, because those values carried me through my own hardest moments.

After surviving a life-changing car accident in 2007, I have lived with permanent disabilities and chronic nerve pain for nearly two decades. Rebuilding my life piece by piece showed me the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward, even when the path is difficult.

Inspired by my mother, a devoted preschool teacher, I hope my stories help children feel proud of who they are and gentle toward others who may be carrying invisible struggles. When I’m not writing, I enjoy creative, reflective moments—reading, watching imaginative films, and finding joy in small, meaningful ways.

Above all, I am passionate about creating books that serve as a safe place for children who don’t always feel seen or heard. If even one child feels more confident, understood, or hopeful after reading my work, then every page has purpose.
