Julie Ditchburn Patton

Picture
Julie Ditchburn Patton lives in Ohio, a well-known bigfoot hotspot. She's never actually met a bigfoot, but after listening to a lot of bigfoot eyewitnesses, she's convinced some bigfoot are jerks. Her fourth grade teacher told her she was a funny writer, and Julie decided to believe her. (Thanks, Mrs. Kempton.) Julie's been a teacher, a greeting card writer, and a blogger. When she's not reading or writing, she tries to convince her ridiculous pug that he's not in charge. She has a husband and three sons who also love to read. Sign up for her author newsletter and see photos of her pug at JulieDitchburnPatton.com

Bigfoot Is a Jerk

Picture
Middle Grade Fiction

There’s no such thing as Bigfoot, right?

Twelve-year-old Zander was supposed to start his summer with some serious video game marathons, but his mom shipped him off to a wilderness camp to learn how to make friends. Now he’s stuck in the thick woods of southern Ohio with five kids he doesn’t plan on being friends with.

As if the main camp wasn’t bad enough, his group is forced to hike to a remote campsite for an overnight. When someone, or something, kidnaps their counselor, the unhappy campers are forced to find their way back to the main camp on their own. However, it’s not long before their imaginations seem to get away from them, and Mother Nature has her own surprises. If only video games had prepared him for half-drowning, dehydration, and all this cardio.

The main camp feels farther away with every wrong turn…

…and every giant footprint they find.

Fans of paranormal adventure will love BIGFOOT IS A JERK.
